Baby Outfit

This picture is not the greatest, but it give you an idea of my project I worked on yesterday. It is a baby's sundress with bloomers and bonnet. I tried to get a side view of the bonnet but the batteries in the camera ran out of juice.

Here is a scan of the bonnet. The fabric is a navy blue with rose buds all over it.

King Sized Bed Quilt

This is the beginning of a king sized quilt I am making for our queen sized bed. Why so big? Well, my husband is 6 ft 3 so his feet always hang out. I wanted it luxuriously big. It may take a while, since the squares are all 2" sewn.

The design is a tessellation. I'm using navy blues, various shades of brown and cream, rusts, cranberries, a few specific shades of green (sort of an old fashioned green).

I'm going to use a quilt-as-you-go method. The backing, I think, will all be the same print. I will quilt each segment by machine. I wanted to use this method in order to see my progress, and to quilt it by machine.

Fabric

This is looped terry cloth. Not sure what project to turn this into yet, but love it. Can't go wrong for 16 cents!

A postcard for Valentines Day. Puffy heart with jewels, threads, beads, and paper flowers were sewn on. Leaves and butterfly were fused. Background was pieced.

Birthday Postcard

My sister's birthday is coming up...so I made her a post card. This one has fused letters and butterfly, machine satin stitching, beading, and some hand embroidery. The edges are cut to look like fringe.

U Got Mail

The snow is batting fused on. The mailbox, and postcard are also fused. The postcard is cross-stitched around and beads attached in the center of the heart. There is some embroidery on the mailbox for depth.
